Illustrating a story

I am just mid way through illustrating a story for brilliant childrens magazine Anorak. Its a real challenge for me - I always like to tell some kind of story in my work, but I guess my brief is to translate the words into pictures The other challenging aspect is to o figurative work, which, if you haven't noticed, is not something I often do! I guess we'll wait and see how it turns out. This is an island that the characters visit on their travels...

Never enough

time these days, to post. I hope to be back on track soon, with an updated website, and plans for a new show in the autumn in London so better start making more artwork!

New Screenprints

New studio, new work

There is a lot of new (good) things happening at the moment. I have just moved into a new studio (more soon) and have a new agent in the UK (Skinny Dip). I am just working on some work for a spring show in London next week - then its time to get back to the countryside to spring clean...

Postal Strike

A distinct lack of blog postings usually means being very busy... lots of new projects, sorting out a new studio, a new house and new baby takes up a lot of time. This is a bit of an old design which has just had a new life as Howies T-shirt of the week.

The Guardian

I did a couple of tests for The Guardian a little while ago - it didnt go through but it could of been nice - here is one of the first drafts.

Virgin Atlantic

Another pre christmas job was an illustrated page for the Virgin Atlantic calendar. This is another test image...

Howies

The great Welsh clothing company Howies asked me to do an illustration for their new catalogue. This is one of the versions created. Nice to be working with my fellow countryfolk!!
